Antwerp ring is indeed one of the circles of hell.
Sadly the only other option, usually, is the Brussels ring which is very nearly as bad

Best to avoid Belgium all together, I feel.

PDP.

It's new rounds week at work.
They're all awful.
Also, every bastard is on holiday, so it's 'druk dag' every dag for muggins, here.
Yesterday broke me.
I'm going today might be slightly less hideous.
Still, it's good for the square bashing.

AA - last day in Madeira today, I have walked and swim in the sea, and eaten my bodyweight in tuna 😳

Big long swim on Sunday, then back on the horse again 👍

We are having a lovely time in Highland Perthshire. Just the 2 of us, for the first time in 18 years!

The Antwerp Ring is the bastard offspring of a one night stand between the M25 and North Circular.

Neither time I was even close to 'rush hour' either, just a normal midweek mid morning and early pm.

Then, dreadfully, spent a night at a beachside resort called De Panne. I'll never look down on Great Yarmouth again, De Panne made Yarmouth look like Waikiki.

I wasn't diligent enough with the Belgium avoidance, it won't happen again.

I've never been there but I strongly suspect it's nicer than the north circular because it doesn't go past Edmonton Shopping Centre.

NDP.

I've just made it home.
So much for summer being a quiet time for the postal service...

'unspecified activity (outdoor)' is going to be the biggest constituent part of Augwurst, I suspect.

But I picked up some pastel de nata on the way home, so it's not a total loss.
And my thighs should be perfectly primed for the rugby season when it comes.

The combination is what'll do it, I'm hoping.
