Morning all. I have the shoulder of doom after my steroid injection yesterday. Perhaps swimming wasn't the best idea. Rest today.

bUGGER, WE'VE GONE OVER THE PAGE. AND MY CAPS lock is on, sorry.
I was at the 2012 Olympic cross country and it was fully gnarly.
I shall now go back and read Coachpod's post more carefully.

Okay, abuse of power. I've temporarily dumped Gobi's post in the siderer so I can read it and type at the same time.
It's my business. It's my hat.

Crits are 'safer' - agree - in that you'll get injured by bikes - broken bones and shit maybe, but noting like being hit by a car.
Our old 'div 3 captain' at North Weald, a local legend by the name of Dave Tompkins, still races crit and XC in his seventies and wins stuff in his age group, won't ride on the road because it's too dangerous.

So, the worst road race crash I was in a chap hit a car and caravan . He was on the wrong side of the road trying to get set up for a climb.
Poor caravan driver never had a chance.
Chap flew and his bike went over my head, took the peloton out i ended up in a bush still on my bike but got off to help with first aid and had no desire to carry on racing.
