MA - having to have an easy week here as the cough/sore larynx has returned. Spoke to my GP yesterday and have been told to rest my voice. so am communicating via semaphore and dirty looks.
zwifting later - easy laps round london and keeping HR in aerobic zone (note to self do not get excited and sprint and get out of breath) and a bit of sanity with lighter weights than usual.
hey ho. Dr reckons as its been lingering around so long, it could well be *the* virus Ive had, as it does seem to hang around a bit.

I haven't got any bodyglide though. Only vaseline - big no, right? - and chamois cream.

Vaseline is petroleum-based and apparently eats the neoprene. So yes, a big no.
Most chamois cream is water-based, I think. Give it a go and let us know.

As Ankh says, avoid Vaseline and stick to water based. Chamois cream will do the job for a time but will get washed away much quicker as it's not as thick. Alternatively choose my approach from this morning which means an battle with the wetsuit before and after (especially after with the old claw hands) and a nice rash on the neck for a couple of days....

MA. Zwifted last night. FTP builder workout thingumy. Horrid. Made us vary the cadence and all. Bit DOMSy after that and Sunday's bootcamp so only planning gardening this evening.
Seaside looks lovely, I am jealous. Still waiting for 2 nearest lakes to declare.
Linds some diving forums suggest hair conditioner. Kinda makes sense and you probably have some at home. Probably more for getting into the suit that preventing rubbage.

Thanks all. It's for getting in purposes because of lockdown lard. Was planning to get in at home anyhow, at least the bottom half. I have baby lotion also. And hair conditioner. Once I'm in I think I'll be OK. Possibly a buff round the neck.
AM thinking I might put a binsack and a towel on the carseat and just drive home wet to save me the indignity at the lake. No dryrobe.
