That went rather well.
Final score 7 to BW Est (no idea what the BW stands for other than maybe bloody wonky given the state of their pitch, l markings and goalposts), 12 to Brussels Barbarians Celtic.
It turns out I'm now a loose head, and our squad was depleted to the point of only one sub, so I was actually in the starting line up. Turns out I'm now a loose head prop, now, too. So that's interesting. We had about a million scrums, though, so I had plenty of chance to practice.
Despite a serious weight disadvantage (their tight head looked like her XXL shirt had been spray painted onto her, it was almost impossible to get a grip) we managed to push them back several times (including uphill. Did I mention the pitch sloped about 15°? Well, it did) and steal a lot of ball.
Outside the scrum I think I only made one play that I'm actually proud of, that happened to be part of set up for our second allowed try (there were two others the ref claimed were held up but were pretty clearly down), but for my first match back with bionic ankle I'll take that. I know what I need to work on for next weekend at home.

Well done Rae must be great to be back playing
I did some running today just a short 4 mile out and back to pick up my match ticket and we won today,
Watching the coverage of the Ironman Champs in Kona on the smart TV, I am in awe they are machines.
