No plans for 2020 yet but I would like to try an open water tri either a sprint or standard.
I will swim this evening with the club.

2020 ----- well I'm in a dilemma really.
I have for 3 years targeted 2020 as my return to AG racing and of course have qualified for both the Worlds and Europeans.
The issue are these:
Many of them make qualifying sound hard and that you should be happy to make it (wtf) Make what ? Qualifying was easy, easier now than when I did V40 a decade ago.
It still after 10years away seems to be full of tossers (not all are tossers) who think they deserve sponsorship and who conviently drop Age Group and call themselves GB athletes and bitch about lack of sponsors when reality is we can afford to go and are not even the best in our age groups. Are these people I want to associate with?
It still sounds like I will be racing mainly Brits and a few Spaniards, I can race the best Brits here in the UK so why bother ?
There is still the questions around my body breaking down. I raced last weekend the day after a full gas CX race and it went ok, no issues but until I race a standard with no issues I am limited to sprint so cant consider my other option which is sod AG let's do power man.
There is also the 24hr mtb racing/CX/testing and running on the track. For these 2021 will be a big year as I am 50 end of next year and not everything works like triathlon.
All I want to do is race the best!!

Interesting thoughts Gobi. Not competing at your level I can’t imagine how the pros and cons of the decisions pan out.

Thanks for sharing that Coach. My 2020 plans are both more modest and more nebulous. I try to sort them out in October but I’m not getting far. Tennis today just for S&G with Sue might help clarify the position - especially since if the weather holds I’m SUPping this afternoon

I've entered Outlaw full for 2020 - because this year the bike was cancelled due to torrential deluge and I figured - what are the odds of that happening again?
And then I read that TRO has entered it too......
