The wind direction is very helpful, Weymouth is on the eastern side of a long headland. Wind will be blowing out to sea, rather than blowing huge waves on shore if was coming from the other direction. See webcam - flags going bonkers in the wind but sea remarkably calm: |

News from Weymouth is that the Swim is fine and off the risk register, but there is now a lightning risk for the bike.. I mean seriously. I'm glad I'm out but even so, its a bit rubbish the weather has taken this turn now.
