Looks like it was a strong field or fast conditions, average Kona qualifying time at Florida is 9:58:03 but looks like TRO's 9:55:49 won't get it unless it rolls down a fair few places.
Cracking time though, well done TRO.

Atonal Miserabilist (AFKA TRO)
Thanks all, fun day. Put myself right in the KQ mix off the bike (which unlike Barca/Italy is raced honestly, makes a huge difference), but did not quite have the run gas to hold off my pursuers. Been 15-20 secs a mile off ever since the knee probs and that was critical. 3:35 would have done the job, 3:42 was 6 mins off the podium. Run was bloody hot, sultry, airless heat, with little shade.
Loved duking it out at the AG pointy end, first time really in the hunt and it's brutal! Managed my race well, and I think pretty much did the best I could with the fitness I had. But spent long enough in contention and ended up close enough to smell that Hawaiin air, and come away pleased with my race and knowing that I have the tools to do the job. That was my main aim from the day and a good thought to take into Winter training.
8th in an AG of near 300 and 71st o/a in a race of over 2300 is not bad.
So, overall, delighted.
