Fast. You'll get a rest on the bike afterwards.

afternoon all been a stressful week here, and taper madness is in full flow - hopefully this time next week I shall be sitting in the sun drinking a mojito and proudly wearing my finisher's t-shirt
until about 11am on friday, Nirvana europe had lost my bike transfer booking, which added to the stress levels, thankfully all sorted now and my bike is on her way to Mallorca
last long bike swim and run have been done, and I'm veering from feeling OK to feeling nervous and hoping I don't get heat exhaustion like last year. As long as I make it out onto the run, i *will* finish

Cafe ride 90 mins (actually 2hr 20 including bacon butty/cake stop). It was a marvelous thing. I wheelsucked, stayed aero, soft pedalled and recorded a #punypowerwars score of NP 53w. 52 was on with 5 miles to go, but a slight headwind and small Hill did me late on.

It was indeed the Essex Roads one Grepple. And I gave the sign to St Giles a salute as we rode past.
I was in a white, light blue and dark blue ensemble with matching arm warmers. By the point I was in your manor I was riding with a big bloke dressed in black and another bloke in blue & green sporting a bit of road rash following a nasty off due to an innocuous pothole in Terling.
I, like TRO, sucked wheels for the first half (and I did a turn on the front) and managed to average about 18mph (unheard of for me). Bit slower in the second half as I had blown up and Simon who had crashed wanted to take it a bit easy but all in all a very enjoyable day out

Thinking about it Simon is an East Essex type so you might know him Greg.
I think he was world duathlon champion for his age group a couple of years ago or something
