Ah. The boy TROusers.
Where do we stand on Wattbike Hub?
We've got a strange new setup at Nuffield where, for reasons that totally escape me, if you run Wattbike Hub on your phone it is automatically displayed on the big screen in front of the bank of Watters. Which is just odd.

I believe Greppers that allows you to 'race' other Watter users, in some sort of pseudo Zwift way, where simply the bloke that blast out the most watts gets to the finish line (whatever that is) first.
You get a ranking, ave watts, distances between you etc as you go on the big screen.
If you do it (;-)), do a race by time not distance as it's very hard to keep going when others have started sitting up and relaxing.
I don't bother tbh. Although it can be amusing watching a power training novice roar out at 400w then drift down to 150w in a world of pain for the next 10 minutes while you cruise past at a steady average.

St Neots... shit; I'm only in St Noets... Every time I think I'm gonna wake up back in the jungle. When I was home after my first tour, it was worse. I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. I hardly said a word to my wife, until I said "yes" to a divorce.

Before I go any further with this post, can I make it clear that I am not a pervert? OK, so now I've cleared that up, here goes... Yesterday I spent quite a bit of time watching people under the water in my local pool. I wanted to see what "better" swimmers did with their hands/arms under the water. Since I read that swimming front crawl is about grabbing the water and pulling yourself forwards, instead of threshing your legs and windmilling your arms (my technique was the same for front crawl and drunken pub brawls) I am now able to swim more than a couple of lengths without getting exhausted. Yesterday I worked on grabbing (or catching?) the water and using my arm as well as my hand to pull against. I managed to do 6 sets of 100m without drowning. Each set seem a little easier than the one before. Next time I am going to try 200m to see how I go.
