Found it - Rule 57 covers Mountain and Trail Races. On off-road terrain you're definitely not going to want a high stack height, so although there's no limit, in reality not an issue |

Nice info K5 thanks. Should go on the elite thread as well. None of my race shoes (road or track) break the the 20mm. My altras probably do for training (assuming the insole counts). So track will be a 'Fly free zone. |

What's the streak's stack height? Guessing road would have been about 30mm if the shoes weren't already out there. |

That fits with a 30mm limit. I wonder if Hoka already had racing shoes above that though.

So 800m tomorrow for me all in (every other) lanes and I'm in lane 7! 2 faster runners inside me that will probably come past eventually but that stagger won't unwind till circa 700m! Basically an extended 400m where I truly need to get out well and run my own race. The other runner in the race (only 4) is of similar standard to me and is in lane 1. In theory, he has the opposite issue as he'll see the other two going away and not feel in the race. |

Thanks J2R. Well I've raced and was meh. 2:20.37 which was my slowest 800 for 4 years. I was in lane 1 in the end so was miles behind the race so a weird one (lane 3 won in 2:03, lane 5 ran 2:13 which I'd have been happy with, lane 7 I caught on the last bend as she ran 2:22. Still at least it was a race. |

I don't think that result says much besides first race back for ages -including a long period of injury and niggle. Tricky lane draw too as Lane 3 obvs quite a bit faster so no help to you at all re pacing. How did it FEEL? |

Just re-read your penultimate post, SPR - where you preempt me, but didn't know Lane 1 would be you.
