What a stage today. Lance seemed to get his legs back today, wiggo dug in too! I know not much happened but it was a top notch watch!

Nothing much did happen, but it was exciting for that very reason. So much *could* have happened, but didn't.
The breakaway riders *should* have all been caught.
Franck Shleck *should* have ridden away from Armstrong and Wiggins to take 3rd, but he didn't.
Andy Schleck *could* have won the stage, but he didn't.

If Andy hadn't been waiting for his brother, it would be a very different picture tonight. I'm not sure Armstrong got his legs back, but he did ride very well. If he comes back next year, it will be after a much better preparation, so look out!
I had a bet with a mate about who would win which jersey and the only one I was wrong about was polka dot. I win!

Maybe not got his legs back but he covered every attack even if it was only by upping his tempo? I would say with another year he would be much sharper.

But even the other half was gripped today (even if she does have a crush on LA)

LA might be as sharp as he is going to get, past form/glory may be unattainable, but we shall see. Even at his best Contador would have given him all he could handle.

SPR - I don't think you can compare across periods, next year will be the test.

Gobi, Fair enough. LA can't fight age though, the younger riders are improving and he is past his peak.
