Schleck is a demon. He'll have Contador on toast next year.

Wow, just watched the highlights programme. I thought it was rather exciting, so amazing to see two riders so evenly matched.

Anyone yet work out what Andy said to Contador when he caught him after Contadors little sprint? I wondered if it was "seeing as you've got yellow for good will you let me have the stage win?"

Looking forward to a potential Cav win tomorrow :)

Nah Contador will still have it next year, if he does the Tour as the plan is to do the Giro.

' I'm gonna get my big brother onto you...' megs?

it's been a good tour, shades of '89 and fignon v lemond battle.

don't you just want to shave contador's eyebrows tho'.

At least Contador had the grace to look totally f****d when he and Andy had the hug afterwards :) Never seen him look so tired after a stage, at least he had to work for it yesterday

I know the crowd make the race what it is on stages like this, but I wonder if the two of them would have attacked more if they'd have had the space to?

I have a feeling Sky will want to get into the break today. It's not been a bad tour for them, holding onto the white jersey for a few days, but I get the feeling they fancy a crack at a stage win. It won't be Brad though as he'll be going for the TT, but remembering his failed 200km solo break a few years ago, I feel this might be his best opportunity for a win, if Cancellara is fresh he'll be near on impossible to beat in the TT.

HoD - on the speed, yesterdays stage had an average of 19mph, which is bloody fast considering they finished at the top of a big mountain! If they're cruising up a climb like Tourmalet and not hammering it the Le Tour tracker says they're usually travelling at 15kph.

Averages of normal stages (i.e. non mountain) is about 42kph.Have a look at this during a stage and it'll tell you current speed and average speed for the stage so far gaps.letour.fr it won't be 100% accurate, but will be pretty close.
