Nell-Good luck if you race.
Bit warmer here, around 4 but feels like minus 2,but I was well wrapped so felt warm enough. The rain was very heavy at times though, including hail.Managed just under 12 and felt ok throughout.

WP - Bambi like isn't good, but at least you survived.

Thank heavens for internet shopping. You'll need to stock up the cupboards as we've still got a couple of months of winter to go.

How is Dewi? Has he fully recovered now?

Good running Ian, hail can be quite painful.

My first internet shop since we moved so shows milder conditions last winter.

Dewi is fully recovered but very nervous so still inside, driving me nuts but rather it that way.Goes in crate at night and used to it but wont settle unless i am in bed as well good job I am in bed early.

OH will have his work cut out when I go away middle of February.

WP - I've never done an internet food shop, but I would if I couldn't get out to do a shop.

Glad Dewi has recovered well. Hopefully in time he'll become less nervous.

Tomorrow is normally my rest day but I might go for a short run if the weather is OK.

Lighter frost here this morning but I've decided not to run today. Just an occasional twinge in my calf and it will be more comfortable to run in the balmy 13 degrees promised for Sunday morning.

I've found one of my target races for 2026

dartmoormarathon.eventrac.co.uk

Says all road and 7 hour limit 😀

That looks a good race to target in 2026. I did get sent down rabbit hole looking at the sponsor flapjackery😀 who knew so many varieties existed.

Flapjackery - I was given these as a Xmas present. As you can see, we’ve not eaten any yet!!

WP - I've double checked 3 weather apps, 11 to 13 degrees here at 6 a.m. tomorrow, rain but that's fine with me.

I haven't looked at the flapjacks !

About This Thread

Maintained by Shades
Back in December 2005 I started a thread on Runner's World offering a marathon training plan on 3 runs a week. I had my own running club at the time (Womens Running Network) and I had successfully trialled the training plan when I took a group of girls to Dublin to run their first marathon.

Over the years the thread has evolved into a chat thread, with a bit of training advice, race reports, for predominantly marathon runners.
