Well that's confirmed my stupidity. I couldn't see out the front so had a wander where I know there's a dark spot with a north view. Still couldn't see anything. On the way back home, I noticed it was nigh on right above me. In the end I got the best shots out of the back pretty much above perhaps slightly to the south.
