Both games were great to watch. I was rooting for Italy to win but I suspected that they wouldn't be able to keep that up over the 80 minutes. England didn't play well for long stretches of the game but closed it out in the second half and were just a bit cleverer than Italy.

Wales were napping in the first half and only woke up in the second half. Scotland looked like going for 40 or 50 points and then momentum shifted totally. Thrilling final 30 minutes, I really enjoyed watching that game.

Gatland must have thought 'I've been here before...' I remember several epic second half comebacks from Welsh, vs. England in 2008, vs. Scotland in 2010, vs. France in 2019.

Willem Defoe in the crowd - how random!

A friend of ours reckons he's going to be the new Master in Dr Who.
She's not the friend whose OH is a Dr Who staffer, though, so I'm not sure what her sources are.

That might tempt me back into watching it!

Just realised that France are bottom of the table with no points! Quelle horreur :-o

Wales!

First half Wales I reckon we could beat 9-6. Second half Wales will beat us by 20+. That’s what a team talk looks like Borthwick…..

3 away wins, rare.

Love this tourno.

Weirdly I'd suggest, for the sake of argument, that the three losing teams have more reason to be optimistic, Ireland may be the exception.

Think the 6-2 bench split is a bit of a problem when it’s clear your backs aren’t doing it for you. Could be 3 away wins this weekend
