It doesn't say in the Beeb's report but apparently it was washable paint so no lasting damage done. I hope it was anyway. I shouldn't approve of such stunts but ... actually, I do. Big fan of Led by Donkeys in general. I'm of a similar mind, Muttley, and I thought a while before posting it. Could the newly painted road be seen from space, I wonder?

Hmmm. I think the key sentence in this report is: The BBC has been unable to independently verify these reports. The ministry did not give information on where such battles were taking place. I've not been particularly impressed by the UK MoD's daily updates, which seem mostly culled from social and mainstream media reports and are peppered with qualifiers like "probably" and "likely". The ISW updates are a much better guide imho. |
