Just going back to the Charnwood Water comments, Becca; I'd echo what Synge has said - not worth a detour.
I work just up the road and it's more of a hidden glade than anything substantial. The locals seem to like it. Well, apart from the one time we temporarily moved a local polling station to a portacabin there. 15 hours of moaning ensued with voters moaning about the inconvenience!
@Synge - that looks like a much more interesting route that your daughter took you on. The 'danger' area just to the north of Buddon Wood is actually the largest granite quarry in Europe.

My current stop isn't particularly photo-worthy, but it's entertaining me. I'm on my way in to Burton (on-Trent). But at the end of Lonsdale Road. Burton in Lonsdale is over in the Yorkshire Dales.......
Since I've just left Branston, perhaps that explains why I'm all of a pickle over it.
