Well it would make a good fancy dress running outfit in that case. Maybe we could all turn up to a race dressed as the Large Family?

Wowsers! Busy day on the thread. No strong view on skorts. I don’t own one though.

Love beetroot especially in a variety of colours - much more subtle flavour in the golden etc in my opinion. Love it roasted but also beetroot salad or beetroot hummus.

My meet today is a foodie one. A new recipe bbcgoodfood.com

It was delicious and will be added to the favourite recipes list.

I've had a newt thing for dinner. Vegan square sausage. The taste was right, the texture would probably have been thereabouts if I'd fried it in oil instead of assuming it would have its own fat like normal square sausage and putting it in the oven.

We had Guinea Fowl for dinner, that was a newt! Rather liked it, like turkey but more moist (and much smaller🤣). Sorry, no pictures!

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
