Fab picture.

I discovered a nee footpath sign today.

Didn’t explore as wanted to stick to a short RR but it could be very handy for WSW

Very new and exciting .B. Can't wait to see the fruits (shoots?) of your labours irl.
*chomps at bit*

And Rae - I totally agree re bee. I'm all for savouring the moment. Sometimes it feels like we can't believe or enjoy an experience without bloody snapping and sharing. Recollection in tranquillity is often better and more precious. Get me going all Wordsworth.

Well done GeordieMum. We have just noticed the first crocuses emerge in our back garden - in fact I had forgotten they even come up in that particular spot. Hoping for a massive newt later today but not holding my breath at the moment.

Ooh and just in case GG is feeling fragile this morning (doesn't look like she is though!) my last post was NOT aimed at her. As if!

Pics of friends and family doing stuff are lovely reminders - and the physical space between those smiles will certainly time and date that photo for you.

Look - here's the first time we ever thought of a mutual selfie. Just before Christmas last year: two beaming friends.

I also hasten to add that my endeavours to shift my focus from taking pictures of things to just enjoying them is also not inspired by anyone in this thread or fetc as a whole - just by the fact that so much of life has become 'virtual', gradually over the last few years and then all at once with covid, that I think I need to remind myself that 'pics or it didn't happen' is supposed to be a joke rather than a guiding life principle)

I've just entered an ultra. I don't know if it's a sensible idea or not, given that I'm only just starting running again but-
- the information says that jogging gently on the down bits and walking the ups shoukd be enough to hit the cutoffs
- I'm definitely walking regularly with joggy bits anyway
- it's local, so I can easily recce the course, and am familiar with most of it already
- it's in July so there's time to build fitness.

Eek!

I hope you enjoy, although the latter sounds more like a snack

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
