I was busy with work last week and either couldn't run on some days or CBA when I did have chance, which led to me losing 135-7 by Saturday night (pretty sure that was the score, but I didn't get a screenshot). A short evening walk with BarefootEm made that 133-11: So, yesterday, I thought I'd better get off my arse and see how much of a dent I could make. I hadn't intended on starting out quite so long, but I was enjoying the forest so much that, 3½ hours later, after 17 miles, I was behind by only 8 points: It would have been fairly easy from there to mop up, but of course my opponent went out and pulled out back before I was even dressed: I was really hoping to take part in the podcast Zoom chat this morning, and I briefly appeared on camera next to BarefootEm, but I was itching to get out for one last push. After another 8 miles (on tender feet, after yesterday), and with only about 15 minutes to go before the deadline, I made it! (with apologies to Not a Real Runner 😬)
