Happy birthday Carp cake

Social ride done but it was bitterly cold on the seafront and I cant warm up. Cup of tea should help.

Not making going for a run sound like a good idea.

Happy birthday Carp cake

May take a reluctant dd1 for a swim later, she’s got a gala next week and could do with some turn practice

Awesome, thank you all for the birthday wishes and cake

I'm frozen after XC and unfortunately my calf/shin is still very painful although on the mud it was just about ok to run on.

:-( to cold & injuries Carp, recover very quickly. Happy Birthday. Hot ☕️ & 🍰 cake is good for warming up.
+1 for traffic free early Sunday rides. Guess LD’s OH was enjoying his ride too until it was sabotaged by thorns. Twice. Well rescued :-)
Must run tomorrow, getting twitchy about next month’s half, as I was over the cut off when exploring route.

GWS alpenrose. Mr has a stonking cold, I just know he’s generously planning on giving it to me.

Happy Birthday Carp cayke

Good new XC today. Rolling grassland and some tracks through the woods, EXCEPT that there was water everywhere and 400 XC'ers rapidly turned it into total sludgy quagmire on a 3 lap race. :-) 5.8 hard, leg-sapping miles.

RA and mr JC ran. JC marshalled and a soggy, muddy time was had by all. Excellent cakeage too.

Then a few of us ran home 10 miles ;-)

I may fall asleep in the bath shortly.

All in all a proper January running day :-)

Happy Birthday Carp 🎁🎁

9 miles for me this morning with some jogscotland folks. 19 of us. Was rather windy so tough going at times. Run also involved walking the plank and gate climbing!

Also my longest run since June!

Some pics from today’s adventure....the gate opened easily enough after a few of us had climbed over it!

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
