Somehow had no time to come on to here yesterday, but have enjoyed reading back 67 posts. Loads of great parkrunning going on!

XC was infinitely better than the pre-Christmas affair (and a 1.5 miles shorter that helped). I went out at a steady pace which I managed to maintain (allowing for the uphill bits), so am satisfied - and relieved. I did the same course in 2010. It looks like I did exactly the same pace as yesterday, but that time came in a little bit broken.

10 miles on the cards later today, but first I have to take a boy to rugby. Wasn't sure he would make it as he came back from school rugby yesterday with an absolute shiner of a black eye. No signs of concussion, and he seems pretty happy. (secretly he's looking forward to going into school tomorrow to show it off)

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
