Thanks for that idea, found an app on Android called Climbed it and marked what I can remember doing off the top of my head. A good record and way to plan for the future... *Doffs cap* |

I had to go back a long way to get the insight on best chippy in Keswick but I should’ve read it before we went to the Keswickian this evening. Very poor. Weather has changed this evening but the last few days have been very cold and very dry. It’s obviously been dry up here for ages. Anyway, we’ve really taken advantage of the frozen ground conditions and even managed to bag the tops above Thirlmere without a single hint of a wet foot. Very happy. And wow, that view from Raven Crag. |

I'm sorry to hear this WW, but frankly I've never rated the Old Keswickian. The Kingfisher beats it hands down.

We also enjoyed the dry conditions underfoot with a couple of good days uphill. There has been a bit of snowfall on the tops recently and that adds to the views. |

Yes, I saw these about a week ago (this is his third) and have been briefly in touch with him. I have been meaning to blog. I am loving the way the Synges keep coming back to life in different ways and it has given me renewed energy to pick up the work I have started on a second edition, partly to add the not-so-recent boundary changes and partly to delete one or two lower summits where there are access issues. It gives me massive pleasure when someone trundles up a minor Synge summit and finds new views or an interesting new line or similar and John Miles certainly seems to be enjoying himself. 😀 I have a listing on eBay and the videos have led to a couple of sales in the last few weeks! |
