I’m ashamed to have to ask the question but what’s the pub you pass on leg of the BG?

The one climbing out of Newlands on leg 5? It's the Swinside Inn. Oddly enough, I was there on Saturday night, quite a few fell legends were in the vicinity - including one Mr R. Jebb.
Incredible performances from all the Jebbs on Saturday. Rob and Sharon both won, if that's wasn't enough two of the little Jebbs also won their junior races. The third little Jebb isn't old enough to run yet, so he must be 5. Choose your parents carefully ....

Never been in the Kirkstile (added to list) but I’d say the view from the Kirkstone Inn on a clear day takes some beating.

The Kirkstile Inn has much better chips than the Kirkstone Inn

NE I was told yesterday by a good source that though the youngest Jebb isn't yet old enough to race he has already done all the Wainwrights!

Yrs truly doing a stealthy bag-and-run manouvre on High Hows. This one of the "difficult" Birketts, in this case the farmer has a reputation for violence and threats. It involves a 20-metre incursion on his land.

Reminds me of a fun day in North Wales with a famous Greek fellrunner
