A rare model from the time when production was briefly moved from Italy to Scotland?

(Just typed it to check, I got haggis, or alternatively Haggis, for it :-) )

Ground some beans today, for the first time in ages. Colombian, from Aldi. Treated brutally, some would consider, in the 46 year-old Moulinex grinder. Nice cup of coffee. Well, three cups, in the end.

Now spent £50 on spare parts. New brass showerhead, new basket, new showerscreen screw, several new o-rings and seals (I'm bound to tear one!). My problem that I'm looking to solve is that from time to time the water only flows through the wand at any speed, it just trickles through the grouphead, so I suspect I'm getting flakes of limescale in one of the valves.

Quite good fun disassembling (I don't think I've broken anything just yet!); my better half is bemused that I spend any time at all doing things like this as she just drinks tea which requires zero "faff" in her terms.

Tea is for amateurs, larkim, unless it's Japanese and they're doing a decent ceremony for it.

Larkim, I take my hat off to you.

Today's cuppa joe:

Bean: Finca Bosque Lya from El Salvador; dark roast
Method: Aeropress
Milk?: Warmed Oatly barista
Sweetener: None
Result: Cortado-style. A smooth bitterness (I know that sounds like a paradox - I think the milk smoothed it out.)

When I started this thread I used agave nectar or coconut sugar. Now I use no sweetener in coffee (or tea).

Non-tea drinker here and nowhere to talk about the caffeine bean, so I thought I'd start a thread. ...
