Took mine down as the birds had pretty well ruined the lawn underneath. We called them the 'onanist finches' as they spilled their seed on the ground, lol. Then the pigeons and squirrels came to grab what had fallen.

Yep, the grass is in pretty bad condition around my bird feeder, grumpypants. If I move it to another part of the garden it’ll be too close to fences/shed/conservatory and this’ll mean the squirrels will jump onto it and get all the food.
Cup of tea number two.

I've cracked the problem of the squirrels by hanging the feeders on a wire they can't get down. But I'm like you, I haven't got any other suitable sites for the feeders. At the moment the birds are OK for food, I guess, but I need to be thinking about the approach of winter.
