So Arlo got to 1000 followers on Instagram last night so did our 1k picture. I'm less impressed about the fact he has 1k followers than I am with the fact he sat and ignored the treats on the floor considering he rarely listens when treats are involved.

For those struggling with the stresses of new pups, I thought I'd share a copy of a note I found from 18 years ago...
It's easy to forget how stressful the early days can be, but it does pass!

Wow! Your poor wife. This is why puppies are cute, I imagine, so we put up with their nonsense.
Did Tara go into a kennel?

Kennel was bought, but it was only really used as a safe place when we were both out and she’d otherwise have been left in the house!

Arlo is so darned cute.
I found that Ernie's whistle recall was only as good as his actual recall. We tried it for a while and whilst he responded really well initially he would still only recall for sausage when there wasn't something terribly exciting around. That said I found the whistle in the kitchen the other day and gave it a toot, and he rocketed down the stairs to me. He obviously remembers.

Thank you Fergus. I can definitely relate. I really miss just being able to go out for a run. Friend coming round at 5 so maybe... 🤞
