Rosehip
could be "damping off", which I think is fungal and happens when they're too wet or humid.

None of my summer PSB seeds germinated and only one of the red kale. I think it got too warm for them. Not sure I'll bother sowing much more, I''ve run out of space in raised beds and can't keep up with the watering needed for planters and pots.

The cucumber has about 6 teeny tiny ones on it already and some of the chillis are flowering. We also had the first two ripe strawberries yesterday :)

Fragile Do Not Bend
I might have a ripe strawberry tomorrow but the rest are still stubbornly green.

I’ve been having a hell of a time trying to get canes in the ground for tomato supports. Under the layer of compost the ground is so hard, and that’s sandy soil! I think I’m going to have to add a lot of extra canes to make a sturdier framework.

I sowed all of my partly used several years old opened packet of broccoli thinking not many would germinate. Yes, of course they all did! I've got about 100 or them! I have given away some of the seedlings but I still have far too many for myself. Shame I can't get any to you, Rosehip.

I tried summer PSB last year but it didn't produce anything until spring.

This year I'm doing the winter stuff but haven't even sown it yet - better get a move on! Plus mixed kale seeds and brussels sprouts - both things I haven't grown before.

Brassica seed keeps forever.

Some pictures from my garden, mini meadow, yellow rattle from the mini meadow and Geranium psilostemon, from the flower bed.

I collected seed from a roadside verge 3 years ago and just scattered it about. It has gone mad this year; I suspect it will reduce in the future as it hits the grass hard.
