Cerrertonia Jul 2023 3:00pm, 20 Jul 2023 19,263 posts	0 Cerrertonia I hadn't appreciated how busy the lake District is compared to similar areas such as Wales I'm always impressed by just how busy the lake district is compared to here in the Yorkshire Dales National Park - and we probably get a lot more than 10x the number of tourists visits that other nearby scenic spots get (e.g Eden Valley, Mallerstang in Cumbria, Forest of Bowland in Lancashire, Teesdale and the North Pennines etc.)

This will make hunting unvisited zones easier. Is there still a count somewhere of how many we've conquered collectively?

So one run in Alftanes I think it was, anyway I went past the president's front door on the peninsula; a run up Kristinatindur from Skaftafell; and a token recording of an outdoor swim at a place I can't remember how to spell in a truly spectacular setting; the pool was very luke warm and the changing rooms looked like a murder scene, but the setting was amazing, just off the A1 on the way back from Skaftafell back to Reykjavik. Could have record a few small hikes too but for some reason I didn't. I could go back and tour for a lot longer than 3 days though!
