Bowman 🇸🇪 I think letting the faster pace come to you is a good way to do it rather than force it so sounds like a good plan.

That is good running. I had to abort after four of five 1k intervals today as I felt rubbish. The pace was dropping and was something like 4:01, 4:10, 4:13, 4:16. Didn’t seem any point doing the last rep Not sure what’s up. Unlikely to be covid. I was in the office last two days but would be too soon and I wasn’t close to anyone really apart from yesterday. Before that my last contact with anyone 2as again at the office last wed and thurs |

What's the HR telling you Baz? I think we work to pretty similar ranges if memory serves, so I'd be expecting to be up in the high 160s maybe topping out max at about 172-3 for 1k intervals; you seem to be maxing out at about 162? Not suggesting you're not pushing, just looks like there's more capacity to tap into that just wasn't there today for some reason. Write it off and move on. Classic "taper" activity from P&D for me tonight - 3x1 mile intervals. I usually end up close to nausea on these, and I can't complain about the weather, so let's see what tonight brings... |

Nothing odd in the hr stats today. I just was feeling rubbish and had nothing in the tank. You are right though and I have noticed the same thing. In both intervals and park runs I am not pushing the HR as high as I used to in the past. I feel like I am running as hard as I can and maybe my max has reduced a few beats. Either that or I am a lazy bugger nowadays ! |

Baz - and that's what you ran a couple of weeks back? If you're I'll, no point forcing things.

Opposite end of the HR spectrum to Baz, pretty close to maxxing out I think. Maybe pushed a little too hard as final rep lost a couple of seconds. Pretty confident my point to point lap measures at least 1m and maybe 1.02-03, so pretty happy with times of 5:42/5:39/5:43 for the miles off about 3min jog recoveries. |
