Fragile Do Not Bend
Two juvenile blackbirds today, busy emptying out all the fresh compost I just topped up my pots with. They kept chasing away smaller bird which I think was a juvenile robin.

Fragile Do Not Bend
A couple of new garden sightings for my list. Swallows flying around and a small pale coloured bird that I think is a spotted flycatcher. Finally got a (ropey) photo of the latter so I could have a chance of IDing it.

This one has been nicely sitting out in the open on the telephone wire outside my bedroom window - but only when I don't have the camera to hand.

Over the last three weeks a work colleague and I have between us since this about six times during lunchtime walks Not high quality - I've cropped it from the full size image, but really pleased to have sen it (I saw it quite close to before I started taking my camera with me. We've seen it along the stretch of Whetstone Brook shown in this google maps image: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Whetstone,+Leicester+LE8+6LH/@52.5622125,-1.1776843,115m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x4877678106d051a1:0x656c3be49d8c2b51!8m2!3d52.5658532!4d-1.1797361?hl=en This seems very urban for a kingfisher
