Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We’re just coming to the end of a week in Weardale (with 2 trips to Teesdale thrown in). Phal has logged species numbers, including mammals, at 43. Inc weasel, badger, roe deer and red squirrel. Birdwise we’ve had daily Dipper spots, a Barn Owl hunting outside our cottage, Black Grouse, Red Kite one Snipe and one Cormorant. Plus a few more.

Ace. There was / probably is a winter pied wag roost in the trees in one of the car parks in Ilkley. Fascinating seeing birds coming together of an evening

No Redwings yet and very little to be seen when I run before sunrise! High activity in the garden though with usual species at feeder and a good number of Blue Tits lately.

Bee Eater ! What a spot jd!

Just read that Redwings have been seen fairly locally- eight miles west of here in Cardiff.
