Feel free to have some of our starlings Steve, approx 20 fledgings at the last count. First goldfinch fledgings this morning as well, surprised they get near with the hooligan starlings monopolising the feederdš

I seem to have families of sparrows, starlings and magpies popping in and out of my garden.

Made a quick visit to Foulshaw to see the Ospreys as I was leaving the Lakes today. Got decent views of the female on the nest but no sign of the male. Also had good views of a Water Rail close to one of the viewing platforms and sightings of Tree Pipit, a flock of Redpoll and abundant Stonechat and Reed Buntings plus plenty of Sedge Warblers calling.
