No reason at all if it fits. I suppose the pad might be a different shape?? My OH wears a men's wetsuit, you'd never guess. |

If you have smallish boobs, it will probably be fine. The pad is likely to be a different shape but I don't think it will make too much difference.

That sounds good so far. Am a D-cup which I think counts as 'small' nowadays. I strongly disliked a pair of "women's" padded cycle shorts I once had. The padding on bottom was (planetary) HUGE but narrowed to almost nothing but hardly anymore on the front. Did not suit me. I want closer to a square of padding. "Women's" bike saddles also seem to shaped wrong for me. I do not know how to post pictures on this forum, but if anyone can post picture of the padding inside their specifically female or male tri-suit, I'd appreciate having a look. (Can't believe I'm considering another tri, which is in 7 weeks. It's kind of convenient & I actually enjoyed the last one. Think I'm a weirdo.) |

Oh Good Lord, I did wonder what you wanted to post a photo off when I first read that ![]() ![]() ![]() I got a cheap women's trisuit in Aldi but I still haven't used it as I haven't done a tri for years. It's very sad ![]() |

Julii - just FYI, my own experience of buying a wetsuit was that the size guide was ridiculously way off. I’m a male, 6ft 2, 14 stone and according to the wetsuit manufacturers guide I should be wearing a size 9. That didn’t fit, neither did a 10 so I wear a size 11 which, apparently, makes me something like 6ft 6 and 16.5 stone!

I find a mens trisuit too flappy round the waist. I have 3 womens ones though and they all fit differently, just think try them on and see which is more comfy. No difference in the pad as far as I can see. Cycling shorts pads are def different but I think trisuit pads are so comparatively thin that it won't really matter.

I'm sure people are going to have alternate views on this, but in my experience you stand much more chance of being comfortable with the thin pad in tri shorts/tri suits if the saddle is one that really suits you.
