We both feel better for going through your day and identifying just why it was rubbish

Also, sorry about the repeated fit of calling you by the wrong name. I actually like you and think you’re good at you’re job and it’s making me panic why I keep doing it. And that makes it worse

(I have a similar thing with a new woman work who's started since the whole work from home thing has been the norm so I've never actually met her, dipps - I keep completely missing her emails asking me to do things because they always seem to arrive at the same time as an avalanche of more urgent things, and now I'm paranoid that she thinks I'm deliberately ignoring her... I'm sure she's perfectly lovely and her requests are very reasonable, just incredibly badly timed.
I might ask her if she wants to have a virtual coffee in the next few days and try to build a proper relationship...)

I presume you are pissed off with me given you haven’t replied. I can only assume from your snarky reply to my earlier message that you feel I only get in touch when I want something. You are in fact a dog walker and so it seems appropriate for me to message to enquire about your availability to walk the dog. Sometimes I do that to try and help you out given the impact of covid and not because I really need you to walk him. It’s not like I don’t enquire about your well-being, how the business is going, your love life etc whenever I see you in person.

Of course I can’t now message to check you’re still walking him tomorrow without pissing you off more.

[I would say the above but it’s not worth the hassle. She’s always pissed off with someone. It’s just my turn]
