I mentioned on the parkrun thread that I was on holiday in Jersey last week. We decided we will buy this one, if we find a few million down the back of the sofa: livingroom.je We walked past it. Interestingly it appears to be reserved for Jersey residents only, I wonder who could afford it. They have very strict housing restrictions but the more expensive ones are usually open to anyone to buy who can afford them. |

(I've also stayed in Carbisdale Castle, when it was a Youth Hostel. Had to sleep on the library floor, as the beds were all taken.) But if you can't afford a whole castle, you can buy a quarter of a kiddy-on one in Stirling. Quirky layout, with a bathroom in a turret, and a door onto the roof. primelocation.com |

And last year when in Guernsey we were staying near this one: onthemarket.com Even if I could afford it, I'd need to spend another fortune on furniture to do justice to it though. |

As the climate crisis goes on, we're going to see a lot more static caravans turning into houseboats...

AndyS (but also ) with the mooring/service fees of £525 per month, it seems very expensive for what's basically a long wooden shed on a metal raft locked to the side of a towpath. Doesn't look to have much storage anywhere.

The Jersey one is just down the road from my bil I'd love the castle! The beach hut is interesting- we walked past them last year and I wondered then what they'd cost. I wonder if you can stay overnight in them |

I don't know if this one has been shared. Looks nice, and a bit of a snip, really. rightmove.co.uk Got a viewing on Monday. |
