Yes, I'm in the Premier League, and at some point I shall run like I belong in the Premier League!

Anyone help with shoe choice. I have a xc on boxing day and can't decide on spikes or fell type lugged sole. I suspect we'll have mixture of frozen ground, snow, mud, and 300m of road at the finish, which may or may not have some snow down the middle. Ive only ever done one xc before.

Island, I'd take both types of shoe and decide on the day. Spikes may be a bad choice if there's a lot of ice on the course, but if much of it has turned to a muddy quagmire, you may regret not taking them!!

If you like to finish strong I would say studs. Sprinting 300m in spikes on a road at the end is not going to be fun!

I'd do what Rach said, take both. Get there early, run a lap as warm up (if you can), then make a decision.
My XC champs was covered in compacted snow last year and spikes seemed to be the best choice when talking to other runners after the race.
I shall be taking my x-talons and (new) spikes to all my races from now on.
It seems ridiculous to finish an XC race on concrete though.

Its only a charity fun run officially which is why it finishes into the village square/ green, annoying but its only a boxing day blast.
