I have never worn spikes. Saying that, most XC I have done are more like trail races. When I 1st did XC, I owre hybrid trail shoes which were fine. Since then, Innov8 flyrocs and mudroc 280's have been fine. And I have a pair of X-Talon 212's on order.
Bt, XC isn't that important to me. It's a means of getting a nice, hard, workout and sharpening up for the target races. And I usally enjoy it

i was at Markeaton as well LL. hard to find fetchies in club vests. A nice day for a gentle XC, not a demanding course but knackering for a man of my fitness. Still i was pleased with my time, it's the first speed work i've had since April.
Very disquieted when i got home to see a film called Destination Gobi on the telly though
