Yes. It was a horse cross country course, complete with water jump. Here's a shot of the jump in the lads' race:

good grief I can't even persuade the horse to wade through the water jump. Must have been freezing.

Ohhh, cool!

Not quite as cool as the last river I had to cross, which had to be swam accross, it was too deep to wade through :-)

I've just wasted some time (what else is work for?!) looking at results for last year's and this year's Lasswade Open that I did yesterday. Gobi and bigmunnki - it bears out what you said, I think. I was a bit disappointed to be 30s slower than last year. But the winner this year was 1min12s slower than last year! And in fact, for all the names I can see that match, their times are between 1 and 3 mins slower than last year. So I'm assuming that I've done a "virtual PB" (now, how do I record that in Fetch?!)
