Actually, I'm really pleased now. Loving the XC this year. I'm definitely going better than last year. My mudclaws seem to help (better than road shoes last year!) Tho I noticed most of the better peeps had proper very long spiked xc shoes.

Just got myself some spikes after yesterdays comical "Peacey on Ice" rendition, look forward wearing at BB&O XC Champs.
Anyone else running this, 15th of this month.

I was on my @rse last year peacey trying to run xc in road shoes! My mudclaws are a bit heavy for racing but gave me plenty of grip. And they suit me for hills and trails too. But if I do a full season of XC next year I may invest in some proper spikes too. Good luck!

As a rule I wear spikes but have run in trail or racing flats having looked at the course

Looking at the circuits ill be doing spikes should be ok i think, saying that ill always pack my trail shoes and like G says assess the course on the day. With spikes yesterday im sure i would been 2-3 mins quicker. Live and learn...

I used 9s but I know a few used a mixture of 12 and 15 which I should have done
