Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Mine arrived today, they are so bouncy, even when walking!

Initial impressions: Very bouncy, and the heel drop feels as if a coastal shelf under my midfoot. I wonder if the heel drop feels more abrupt because I've got relatively small feet (UK 5) and is less noticeable in bigger sizes. (For comparison, I usually run in the Lunaracer 3, which has a 7mm drop.)

Size is "true to Nike".

Tested on the treadmill. When running at a slowish pace (10km/hr) on a flat belt I felt as if I was being pushed forward on to my toes and couldn't feel the heels touching the belt at all, which was a bit weird. This was less obvious at 12km/hr+, which is the sort of speed at which I'd race. The shoe + treadmill combination didn't feel unpleasantly bouncy. The coastal shelf thing wasn't intrusive while running.

I have no reason to doubt that I'll be able to run in these and might get some benefit in comparison with my current racing shoes.

question: should my first outing on mine be at track tonight, or should I go for a gentle jog in them first?

How do these fit compared to other brands such as Brooks or Adidas

asking for a friend who hasn't had a pair of Nike runners before ;-)

Clare, I run a lot in Adidas. There’s really no comparison! The VF just doesn’t feel like anything else at all!

From a sizing perspective, my VF are the same EU size as my Tempo Boost / Boston Boost.

My second pair of Flyknit arrived today, went for a 7.5 this time, the other pair of Flyknit I have are an 8. Confirms I am right in the middle of sizes, with a thin pair of socks the 7.5's are a perfect fit, little to no movement with the laces undone, with a thicker pair of socks the 8's are a good fit but don't feel quite as good as the 7.5's. Guess I now have a winter/autumn pair with thick socks and spring/summer pair with thin socks... Now to decide which pair to use for London...
