You could use them on grass.
I actually never train in spikes and have no issue racing in them but my spikes aren't all that aggressive as said over the page.

I run zero drop all the time pretty much so happy to run in LD spikes any time. MD spikes (which you have Gobi) might be a different matter and is why I've avoided them.

I think I'd probably want to do a session in the dragons before racing in them. The stiffness is new for me so would want to know how that felt at fast paces before I raced in them.

I will probably train from now on in the other spikes but wanted to use the new ones once. From now a warm up on race day in them should be enough

The Mussile
There was a guy running TR24 in Vaporflys at the weekend on one of the relay teams. Out of each 10km loop there is probably less than 1km that would be suitable for those sort of shoes When he overtook me (as a soloist I was plodding along) he nearly fell over about 10 times before he got out of sight.

Weighed the dragons Vs my LD5000s. 8 grams lighter for the LD5000s. Will take some side by side pics at some point to compare how the cushioning differs for 8 grams difference. Would be hard to show the stiffness difference but the honeycomb pebax plate on the LD5000s actually has a few cracks at flex points for me now which I can't imagine will happen in the dragons.

Can't image 8 grams will make any significant difference, will it?

Well every little helps all things being equal but my post wasn't about them being different weights, it's about them being pretty much the same but the Dragons being more cushioned. If you can get significantly better cushioning for the same weight or a little more, then you have a faster shoe in theory.
