My 4% are still going with 500miles in them now! Perhaps not as springy are they were though :-)

CW - my first pair did a good 500 but as I transitioned to the new pair I could feel the difference

Is there extra controversy about the Tempo Next%? I've just seen them and they look like a cheaper Alphafly.

I’m sorry to hear that SKR. Also be interested if you’ve heard something about the tempo next % thingies. Heard good things about them from a friend.

I was slow on the uptake. Maybe next time. Gonna look around for some Flyknit 4% though in the interim. I’m missing those and maybe there are some out there somewhere in my diddy UK7.

Shoe-spotters will have noticed that Nike-sponsored Sir Mo and Marc Scott both wore Next%s at the Antrim Half yesterday, not Alphaflies. Perhaps the extra weight of the Alphafly makes it only really 'ideal' for a full marathon, but the Vaporfly Next% is better for anything shorter. No way of knowing really, these things are all preference... but when sponsored athletes choose not to use the most recent thing, which they undoubtedly could if they wanted to, that normally gives a good indication. (That's also the consensus of the local aristocracy round my way, but they're mere clowns compared to Farah and Scott.)

I'd also be interested to hear what the "controversy" is around the Tempo%, or whatever it's called.

Have the Alphafly been seen in competition since the IAAF rules changed? I wonder if they were too close to the edge?
