Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

She wasn't a nurse full stop - she's a radiographer.

Hayley Carruthers, who crossed the finish line in some distress, trained at the hospital where Fetchie northernslowcoach practises. The article below refers to her as a research radiographer working with cancer patients.

Ooh, if you want a real tale of the shameful money grabbing of the Guinness World Record folks you can read my account of my YEAR LONG attempt to get them to ratify my Fastest Marathon in Highland Dress (kilt, sporran, dress shirt, bow tie, waistcoat, tails jacket, Glengarry hat, knee socks, flashes - just missing the clumpy brogues and the sgian dubh (knife!)

All evidence provided, forms filled in etc. but wouldn't accept it. If I paid £4,500 for their invigilator (plus expenses to fly him / her to Isle of Lewis where I did the marathon) they would ratify it immediately. Grrr!

Didn't realise you had all those issues HappyG. Glad to have been able to provide some supporting evidence :)

Yes you can "fast" track applications for a record for $500 (or something similar) or wait 12 weeks etc... its certainly a commercial organisation

I thought it was $500 but havent checked and that $500 is I think just looking at your paperwork within a week/ten days rather than waiting 12 weeks. It guarantees nothing.
