Good stuff marble! Think I'm just no in the marathon zone right now LOL

Thanks Marchbanks - I don't feel too bad. Better as the day has gone on an I have been trying to stretch - not as muscular sore as after Lochaber an I think the knee ache has eased with the stretching :) Just blogged an realise I had far to much to say (not unusual) - its like a novel!

Good stuff - next time will be EVEN better :) I'm hoping to go not actual next time as that is Keilder an kind of for fun as well as not exactly a suitable course but next attempt will be VLM.

IT WILL HAPPEN!

Hi all, just dropped into this thread and am wondering if 3:30 is achievable for me. Currently sitting at 3:38 and just started a training plan towards Abingdon in 18 weeks time. Steadily getting better and faster but without doubt it's all about the last 6 miles for me.

Going to focus the long runs at a slower pace than previous to hopefully build up some stamina :-)
