2:10 for me, felt a bit sluggish on the the last 5 miles, feeling the lack of training!

Good running boys. I ran a 10km at the weekend. Ran 34:33. Disappointing. Felt very tired - bang in the middle of big miles. I think a cut back week is due.
I've a HM this weekend - what would the advice be on a mini taper for it? Think of reducing my miles to around 40 this week but not sure how to structure them, so advice on "mini-tapers" for a weekend HM is most welcome !!
Gonig to post this on the sub 3 thread as well btw.

I did the above before my 1:13 , 3 min pb at Bedford. I put 3M @ PMP in the middle of the 10M and did a bit of speed on the Monday but all others steady yep.

Seems like everyone is running pretty well on here. Wish I could say the same. After getting back from the US last week suffered from Jet Leg and really intense time at work, not much running. Hope to get back into the swing of things again. Have come down with a cold, but managed 21.7 training run in 2:29 yesterday, felt pretty shoddy on the last mile, but am suffering now. Do not feel at all confident on a sub 2:45 but still have a little time before Edinburgh

Some great stuff going on, well done guys.
Jock Itch top run, well done. I like a bit of a flutter and would appreciate a stable whisper if a pb is possible!
Contro, Class is permanent, form is temporary. You are coming back from your setback well. As the wise sage Gobi always advises "caution"
Cavehill, In the middle of big mileage sub 35 for me is awesome running. Jock Itch's week looks like you would be well set up to attack the race on Sunday, good luck and keep us posted.
Psimon, It is all part of the process. A 21.7 mile training run in March is money in the bank. You have the ability for a sub 2.45. and you will prove it next month.

Caution indeed. Remember to keep a little powder dry for the big event.
I was at inter counties at the weekend - hard workout indeed

Cheers Curtis - impressed by your "stand out" HM time. Excellent.
PSimon - I'm sure in a week or so, you'll be back banging out PMP runs with stupidly low HR readings..
Contro - good to see you back.
Thanks for the advice Jock - will do something similar this week. Have to fit in a load of pints with the boys tonight as well - it is ST PADDYs DAY tomorrow after all (public holiday here).
Good luck for LA Gobi. Will be interested to hear you get on.
