Overall, yes, good news. If my job does become unpalatable, I'll take the two good years I've had doing it as a bonus and scarper. (I suspect I'm essential enough at the present time to have some leverage if I want to continue on a much reduced commitment, but I'm not counting on it.)

My OH receives two modest work pensions which are enough to live on if we forgo expensive holidays etc. I am 6 months away from getting state pension which I will apply for early next year. OH hints at retiring but enjoys his work too much, hopefully he will go part time next year. OH will also get state pension next year. I don’t know how folks survive on state pension alone.

EP - I'm guessing that Covid will have decimated some pension funds investments especially where high street commercial property is involved. So right now probably not a good time to think about consolidation of pension plans. But there's plenty of advice from various sources before thinking about using an IFA.
Vrap - sorry to hear they're messing with your job but at least you have a plan. They might be doing you a favour by making you 'jump'. 😁
UC - if I had to I could live on state pension alone, it would certainly cover all my living costs.

My DC pension has now recovered all of the losses it sustained back in March. It will depend on investment mix but hopefully similar for others

so if you were sensible and saved now where would you put it? interest rates are such that we are almost paying the banks to keep our money!

In the absence of special incentives or tax breaks I would look at passive tracker funds first.
