Welcome back RFJ My mum had one of those funeral plans. Before he died my dad told me to cancel the payments. Despite losing what she'd put in, she would've put even more in before she died. Those schemes are an absolute disgrace. |

MaltDrinker and I both have what used to be called Penny Policies. My late mum had as well and it paid out enough to cover all her funeral expenses, with enough left to give each of her 3 grandchildren £1000 each. The policy I have for MD became fully paid up when he turned 70 so he is just paying the grand sum of £2.17 for mine and that will cease next year when I turn 70. |
