That's super, LG I suspect eL Bee!'s leaving present will be management reminding him to turn the heating down in his room and hand over his key before he goes. Mine will be reminding me to hand back my work laptop, it was mentioned in a meeting yesterday, I offered to give it back immediately. My wife forgot to take in her computer lead. So her manager contacted her. After she told everyone he ended up with loads of the things. One of her pals who is quite high up delivered one personally & her line manager shit himself when he marched in. |

I voluntarily brought back a lot of IT equipment that I had at home, after leaving a job a long time ago (I was in charge of IT, so had all sorts of gubbins). I handed it back and they said, oh thanks for bringing that, we'd forgotten about it and shook hands and left Then they served me with a solicitor's letter and an injunction trying to stop me going to my new job. Nothing will be a step up for me, in terms of leaving gifts. G |

I had to hand my laptop to security (part of BT Italy accounting scandal that I worked on the clear up of -0 in case of anything legal). My final day was to travel to London, log on, send my good bye email, log off and give my laptop to security. I was done by 10:10. There was a huge leave checklist thing that I'd had to work through in the 2-3 weeks previously, including equipment handover, revoking access etc. You didn't get your leaver payout until the list was complete and signed by your manager. Had a lovely mooch round London, mid afternoon train home and the grin barely left my face. Fabulous day. |

My boss didn't even speak to me during my last week of work, but I took the office girls out for lunch on the company credit card. It's the least he could do after 26 years

Insurance told me yesterday that they are paying out in the next few days so the hunt for a replacement non-retirement present to myself has started. Getting paid nearly £5k more than I originally paid for the truck, but that's how much the price has gone up in 15 months. |

That’s great news, Stander. Well… under the circumstances, it’s something positive.

Good news here, our FA came back to us with income predictions, we are so lucky to have some final salary schemes which allows us to use our various pots to live on until we are of state retirement age Mr FF is finally convinced and will be handing in his notice and we both finish at the end of the year He definitely wants to find some part time work to top up our income (me not so much so) and I think that would be good for him - I am SO excited |
