Doctor's granddaughter does seem to be really incoherent and wheeled out a bit like the sonic. But doesn't solve anything.
This doctor cries a lot.
I didn't have a problem with Ruby and Louise wanting to get to know one another.

I thought it was a very confused conclusion to a very confused series. The final episode made no sense and left me questioning: * If Sutekh puts a Susan Triad everywhere the Tardis goes, why did it create one in the Bridgerton episode who had been dead for decades?
* If the Doctor needed another Tardis, why didn't he just go and get David Tennant's one which is in Rose's back garden? * What happened with Captain Jack, who presumably was on Earth and whose immortality has previously stopped unstoppable death? Was he killed, or was he wandering around being ignored by the Doctor? * Given that he can travel in time, why at the start of the episode did he just find Ruby's mum wasn't on a 2024 database and give him? If it was important enough for him to risk ripping the universe apart, wouldn't have travelling a few years in the future to check databases then have been a better option?
If the episode wasn't based in the tradition and history of the show the last two points could be overlooked. But it was linking everything together and seemed to just forget about that stuff.
I've found the series all over the place. The first few episodes seemed to appeal to a TikTok generation and appealing to youngesters. Then there were a set of episodes aimed at Inside No. 9, Black Mirror and Bridgerton audiences, with it aiming at a 40+ audience. Then it ended with episodes appealing to die-hard Dr Who fans who remember references from an episode from 40 years ago. It feels like it's trying to appeal to everyone, but not through finding the right mix but just throwing out random episodes aimed at random audiences and hoping people will watch the whole series.
I've no idea what personality the Doctor has. It has changed massively through the series with no consistency. To be fair, recent Doctor's have been very easy to define whereas the Tom Baker era was that he's an indescribable enigma so perhaps that's what they want.
I think the characters have worked this series and are ok. But apart from 73 Yards and Dot and Bubble I don't think any storylines have really worked for me. The episodes which don't care about story arcs, and just care about having a self-contained story, have worked best.

What DaveG said! I just caught up. I wasn’t expecting much so it wasn’t too much of a disappointment. The best but was Anita Dobson’s conclusion. A shame that they put the work into some interesting themes throughout the series that all petered out in the final episode. A bit of a damp squib.

I did feel it was a tad flippant the way the Doctor just unleashed Sutekh with only a smidge of remorse. It was no "do I have the right?" moment like in Genesis of the Daleks.
Also the episode was somewhat tarnished by a bloody Tory canvasser knocking on the door 10 minutes in. He got short shrift.

I guess RTD was going for a bit of the Marvel Avengers "snap" type approach. Agree with most on here it was just incoherent and daft. Clearly, it's Doctor Who, logic isn't the most important thing. But I'm still baffled as to why Ruby / her mother had any importance whatsoever to anyone, or indeed why it always snowed. I may well have paid insufficient attention.
I like Gatwa's Doctor though, and definitely some of the episodes in this series are positive ones.

I think it was snowing when she was born and something...something...memories...something... mother very important...TARDIS ...something... something. I think that's pretty much it!

Sounds about right.
Also, are we expecting Ruby is not returning for next series?

Ruby is back for Christmas, but not the next series. The Unleashed thing on iPlayer has the details.

Bit of a weak ending after the series had really been picking up. The ending (like many lately) was just too cheap and easy. It was fun to watch it at the cinema with my youngest daughter, though.
